I worked with the sister missionaries the 14-16th of July. Sorrowfully, I forgot my camera on the 14th, which is the day I worked with Sisters Holloway and Sparks. We met many friendly people in the neighborhoods where they worked. They are very good and sweet missionaries and I loved my afternoon with them. The next day, July 15, I went with the 4th branch sisters, Sisters Robertson and Rhytting. Also great missionaries. The first home we went to the sister was so ready to hear the Gospel and is already reading the Book of Mormon. She has a baptismal date and as I write this, she has already received baptism. We had a great member teaching with us. Her sister-in-law is our part-time housekeeper/cook. She did a great job with the people we visited and taught and made a big difference for the investigators. Our second visit is to this great family. The little girl knows how to pray and how to kneel when she prays. They also have baptismal dates. They live in a very humble neighborhood.

The neighborhood of the family we taught. The big pots on the right are water cisterns. They are covered to keep any unwanted critters out. The woman is making big bags for people to put recycled plastic in. She can make 4 of these big bags every day. She also needs to do her wash, cooking, and cleaning, hauling water, etc. Nevertheless, she was a very friendly, happy woman. The man is collecting recyled items from the garbage before it is being burned. These sisters are so hard working. They have so many investigators and new members they are running to keep up!

Sister Bayles and Sister Pham are also awesome missionaries. I got to go with them on the 16th of July. These sisters are in the Vietnamse speaking program. Sister Pham comes to us from Hanoi, Vietnam. Scott and I were able to be to her baptism on February of 2010. From that moment on, she wanted to be a missionary, and prepared herself accordingly. She came at great sacrifice with a desire to serve the Lord. She speaks excellent English and has been a great help in the Viet program here in Cambodia. However, once she is trained she will go back to Vietnam. She and her companion and 2 other sisters who are coming to our mission from Ho Chi Minh, will also go back to Vietnam after they are trained here. So, for the first time, we will have sister missionaries serving in their own country of Vietnam! Exciting times. They are called Branch Builders in Vietnam. Makes sense to me!

We did a Family Home Evening for this new member family. The sisters had them make book markers for their scriptures. They were quite creative and I even made one! The Mom of the family works hard at sewing these laced items with sequins to put on wedding and other fancy attire. She then gets money for each one she finishes and that is how she supports her family. Her neighbors live in the green house. I liked the color, so that's why I took the picture. It looked like a happy home. The homes in this neighborhood are by the river. During the rainy season which is now as I write, September, it fills up with water and there are homemade wooden bridge paths to get to the homes. I had a great time with these sisters also. We taught 2 others who were investigators. I just didn't get pictures of them.
