On August 6th we headed up to Kampong Cham pretty early so that we could do family visits before leadership training and the district adult session of conference. We had Elder Chen with us. We picked him up at the airport after we went to the Starr bakery. He is from Singapore and is an Area Seventy who was assigned to the Kampong Cham District Conference.
The family just lives in that small room. We invited them to come to conference. I think that he did, but she didn't. They are struggling with work and keeping food on the table. We tried to encourage them to come and keep the commandments so that God could bless them. The home isn't all of the home in the picture. Their section of the home is the one with no door and the water cistern out front. It is probaby about 8 x 10. They were very sweet people and I hope they are coming back to church now.
