Starr Bakery Peterson Farewell

I arrived home from SLC on the evening of August 3rd just in time for Zone Leader Council the next day, August 4th, and to help teach a lesson on Book of Mormon answers questions of the soul. The next day, we went to the Starr Bakery with Elder and Sister Peterson.

Elder and Sister Peterson are our LDSC country directors here in Cambodia. They have been able to do a lot of good for the people in Cambodia in the last 18 months. They were invited to the Starr Bakery that I have talked about earlier in the year. This bakery helps young people learn how to cook, prepare, and serve restaurant food. Also they learn bakery skills. Then the chef who runs this school which is not for profit, helps them get jobs. LDSC has helped alot with the white boards, chairs and school items and also restaurant items so the kids can practice. Their food was so good. This chef used to be one of the chefs at the Intercontinental Hotel, which is a very prestigious hotel here in Phnom Penh. So, they wanted to thank the Petersons for all their help and had them invite guests. So we benefited from this delicious event!

This cake was so succulent and chocolatey rich, I could only eat a very small piece. I shared my share with staff when we got back to the mission home.

The Peterson's and guests and all of the students. We applauded for them all they did such a good job taking care of us. They are well taught.
