More of Angkor Wat

These pools are on the 2nd level and were used by the priests to wash themselves before they went to the highest level to worship. We had a guide this time and I learned quite a bit.

A pretty view of the Wat. They are preserving some of the temple. That's why it has a blue tarp.

Waiting for Scott and David, Millie jumps over the little pools. Ahh, the joys of childhood. The rest of us waited with fan or water!

A nice shot by the pool in front of the Wat.

Different views of the moat around the Wat about dusk.

I think Scott took this shot. These are his favorite kind of pictures.

This would have been the perfect picture if the guard hadn't been visiting with the Monk. But, still not too shabby! It looks good with the grey walls to see the orange color.

Waiting again for Scott. He was trying to get the perfect picture of the reflecting pool and the sun going down.

  1. Sister Smedley,
I enjoy reading your blog and I especially enjoy seeing my own missionary, Elder Hill. Thanks for taking the time to do this. It is so interesting. My husband and I are planning to pick Dillon up next summer and I am starting to get excited to see Cambodia in person. I appreciate all you and your husband are doing for the elders.
