One finishing and some Baptisms

Elder Stevens left the day after the Khmer missionaries went to the MTC. His former Scout leader (on the left) and his former YM president promised him they would come pick him up from his mission and for a surprise, they brought with them, Elder Steven's father! It was a tearful reunion, but a joyful one.!

Elder Stevens gets to walk the red carpet because he is returning with honor!

Members in Kean Svay meet with 2 people getting baptized several weeks ago. They all wanted their pictures taken with Scott and me. This is a family getting baptized. Afterwards, Scott gave him one of the ties that people gave us . In this case, he got a tie that my sister, Camille had sent. He was just thrilled and said he would treasure it all his life!

More members who attended the baptism. Elders Egan and Baird are the ones serving in this branch. They taught these people and they joined the church.

Cambodian Missionaries to Manilia MTC

Five Cambodians have been called to serve here in Cambodia. Sister Tay, Tay Pirun's sister (Tay is our administrative assistant) and her family came to see her set apart. Sister Tay's Mom is putting on her name tag. Sister Nouer has been serving already for about 2 months and is just now going to the MTC. Elder Mae also has been serving for 2 months and just now went to the MTC. Elder Kheng's Dad proudly puts on his name tag. Elder Kheng loves his family so much and they are so proud of him for serving even though none of them are members. Elder Kong is the first Cambodian to graduate from Institute in a year. He has been a member a little over a year and took 8 Institute classes until he came on his mission. Elder Nelson, our CES senior missionary over the institute gives Elder Kong his diploma. All five missionaries together. They left for Manila MTC June 17 and arrived back here to serve last week, July 15th. They are all dedicated missionaries and we are delighted to have them serve with us.

Explanations

Well, no pictures on this post. We have been so busy here that I haven't had time to post my pictures. For family who follow Kali's blog and also Varci's, they have good pictures and comments about their visit here. We have had a great time with them. Kali left Saturday night after the finishing missionaries went out and also Varci and Scott to Vietnam. I actually drove the car, which I feel is a BIG accomplishment here. So, now I guess I'll get groceries and Scott won't have to go. I am planning on posting my pictures soon. I will try to get some on next Monday after Zone conference. Tomorrow we go to Kampong Thom with Elder Subandriyo for a special meeting with the members Saturday night and Sunday at Church. We will come home after Scott does some interviews and we eat at the Houser's home. So, maybe Sunday I can get to this. We shall see. Just wanted to post to let you know we are busy and well, and I will catch up soon!
