We took Kali and Varci here on July 14th after the Ta Mao Zoo. This is a very sobering place to go because of the thousands of Cambodians and some foreigners who were murdered in cold blood here. The sign above says to take off your shoes in respect for the dead whose bones are there on display. Above left is the entrance. hmm maybe not, well, not sure what it is a picture of! The one on the right are clothes that were found in the group graves. The bottom right is a picture of uncovered bones and teeth. It is just roped off so that you don't walk on it, because it is like a burial plot.
As you can see Kali is sobered by it all. The bottom left hand pic is of one of the group burial plots. and the two right hand pics are of the memorial building and what it says about the holocaust of Cambodians.
Despite all of this the Cambodians are weathering the storm, and rising above the tradgedy to be happy and hard workers.
