Bayon Temple/Wat: Siem Reap

Children near Angkor trying to sell to Varci and Kali. They followed us for quite a while, and I think they did buy some things from them.

A close up of Scott's newest hat.

Going in to the Bayon Temple area. On either side are statues on a snake. I can't remember the whole story, but they are fighting for the venom of the snake. Varci, peeking out from one of the statues.

These wats are surrounded by a protective moat, man-made years ago.

This is a very ancient Temple. They have pretty much left it intact, but are fixing up what is called the Library, I believe off to the left. Varci, Scott and Kali went up to the top by the spires, but since I'm not too fond of enclosed spaces and heights, I didn't make the trip. But there are the Bayon faces on all sides of each spire.

President Loy, the Siem Reap Branch President, was our tour guide for two days. He knows alot about all the Temples/Wats, so Scott is picking his brain. Scott forgot his hat again, so now this is his third hat he has bought. He's getting quite a collection!

Since Scott collects elephants, so I took this picture. It is of one of the kings coming in from winning a battle.

Can't see the faces very well, but promise, they are there!
