Teaching with The Vietnamse speaking Sisters

February 10, in the afternoon, I went teaching with Sisters Sparks and Holloway (they now have different companions). We had a great time and they are very sincere and sweet gospel teachers. We went to this sister who is in a wheelchair. At one time, her and her husband were homeless, but they were taught the gospel and joined the church.  She is Vietnamse, he Cambodian, so sometimes they each go to their language branch.  She sells on the corner on a main street and the sisters teach her right there outside. She sells drinks and other snacks. They are encouraging her to endure to the end. She has two children and has such a sweet testimony.

The next day, the 11th, I went with Sisters Bayles and Eng.  Now Sister Bayles and Sparks are companions and Sister Holloway and Eng are companions.  Our first stop was with the Chin family.  Their daughter, Sister Twee (not spelled that way, but said that way) was a missionary in our mission, but with the Winegars. We have got to know her and she is a good, solid member of the Church.  The sisters were visiting the family giving encouragement. They fed us some fresh mangoes, fried rice cake (which she gave us a package to take home and I literally will bring it back to the USA for the family to try. Delish!) and some candy kisses. They sell these cardboards and recycled plastic, I think?  Not sure.  A very nice family of members.

We then visited this new family that the Elder's taught. Oops, I think that was with Sisters Sparks and Holloway. Their appoinment fell through and we stopped and shared a song, scripture and prayer with this family.  The single man is a very sharp investigator.  He sensed truth from the beginning, goes to church, prays and reads his scriptures. The sisters did so great on teaching with scriptures and asking inspired questions. Just excellent. I loved my visits with both sets of sisters!  Great two days.
