I love the Ho Chi Minh Elder's apartment. So clean, nice and modern. I was impressed with their above average cleanliness! They have this beautiful view from their bedroom window and call it their "Field is White already to Harvest" picture. They said it reminds them of their purpose and why they are in Ho Chi Minh. They both are from Hanoi. And doing a great job in Ho Chi Minh.
The sisters and Scott and I went to check out this heart hospital as a possibility for one of our young members in Cambodia who has a hole in his heart. They translated for us. We were very impressed with the hospital, it's cleanliness, competency and professionalism, and friendliness. They did the surgery last week on 14 year old Marady from Kampong Cham. It was a resounding success. They thought they would have to put in a pace maker, but everything was better than anticipated. Thank goodness for blessings!
I went with the sisters as they taught this family. The Dad, a very kind man, but not so interested, but his wife and children are all amazing. His wife was interrogated by police as to why the sisters were coming by. She explained to them that she had invited them to come teach her. She should be baptized by now. What great branch builders these two sisters are. And such good teachers. It was a joy to be with them.
