On May 25, 2010 after Elder Oaks and Elder Pratt met with govenment officials, we had a fireside where they spoke and later shared some desserts. Here is Elder Oaks greeting a member. On Elder Oaks left is Brother Shane Harrison and his two sons.

The Branch President. President Tung. He went to Salt Lake City last October and received his endowment in the Jordan River Temple. He was thrilled and loved how kind everyone in Utah was to him.
Wow, your trip to Vietnam sounds like an amazing experience! When my grandparents went on a mission to Hanoi as service missionaries they weren't allowed to even talk about the church, and now there's a branch there. They are wonderful people!
ReplyDeleteOur Vietnamese exchange student was so excited to see his twin brother, mother, father and other brother in these pictures with Elder Oaks! They didn't know about the Branch there until we got the information for them through your mission office. So, thank you! They are now actively attending the Branch in Hanoi now.
ReplyDeleteWe love seeing your blog and it is amazing to see the Hanoi branch. Although we never went to Vietnam we feel we know many of the people through correspondence while waiting for our Visas. It is great to see our language tutor in the picture. He was the interpreter for Elder Oaks and is such a great young man.
