Some of the packages that have come into the mission home for the missionaries. One parent sent a box to give our missionaries that don't have packages coming, mostly our Cambodian missionaries. So we appreciated that!

Our cook and part time housekeeper Sarat, has a surefire way to prevent ants from eating the goodies. She puts about 1/2 inch water in a cookie sheet then puts the item to be protected on a cookie rack as you can see in the picture! A good tip if you ever battle ants like we do here!
Last week, two young girls came by the mission home to deliver gifts for Scott and I. They were 18 and 20. They hand painted this just for us and brought us homemade cards. This took them 5 hours to paint. They said, they just kept painting and not talking and before long 5 hours had gone by. One is a member and one wants to be but her Dad isn't ready to permit that yet. It was so sweet of them to give us something. We were touched by the kindness and sacrifice for us.
