Siem Reap with the Sisters-May 23

We first went to the Silk Factory where they have on display the ancient costumes of the former queens and kings.  Then on to the famous Angkor Wat. Our two able assistants had not been before, so they got to come along also: Elder Ott and Elder Nelson.  I will finish more when I make the return to the USA.

Here Come the Sisters and Final Zone Conferences May 21

My sisters, Camille Simmons and Jill Reid came for 6 days to accompany us on our final round of Zone Conferences in the Provinces.  I will write more later when I get back to the USA.









Young  Women Values are same all over the Church. There are just a variety of ways to display them!

May 20-General Authority Visits

Bishop Davis and wife, Elder and Sister Gong, Elder and Sister Hallstrom, Elder and Sister Oaks, and to the far right, our area seventy Elder Pon, came in for Priesthood training, Member devotional and Missionary Meeting.  Elder Kuhn and Elder Price helped drive some of the group and asked for the picture, so I got to take a picture too. Kim Sang it to the far right. He is our Service Department manager.

While the brethren were doing Priesthood training, the sisters divided into two groups.  I went with Sister Hallstrom and Sister Davis.  Sister Un translated. Sister Brunelle had been in the mission for 2 days at this point.


These two women are the Mothers of the sister in red. We had great visits and felt like it was good to strengthen these wonderful active sisters and show them appreciation.

The architect purposely designed this to look like a dragon.  It has a curved shape and the tail is quite long. We see this often as we go up and down Russian Boulevard.

Welcoming New Missionaries-Army of God

As these Elders and Sisters were coming down this entry to Cambodia, I felt such a strong feeling that they truly are the army of God. Sister Brunelle and Elder Scott are the front runners here. In the background are Sister Vom Lehn and Sister Solario along with Elder Bennion and Elder Workman.

This transfer, Scott brought in a new Assistant, Elder Nelson. Elder Ott is now the older assistant!  These are great young men and we appreciate all that they do.

It was raining so hard that we had to stay inside for our traditional welcome picture.  Elder Scott,k Elder Bennion, Elder Workman (Vietnamse speaking), and Elder Sundstrom (Vietnamese speaking).

This was a HUGE transfer and was so crowded. There was happy noise all around as those 23 new missionaries were heading out to work.

Luckily, no one forgot to pick up their shoes on the way out the door!

Sister Kosal is training Sister Our even though both are new. Sister Kosal served a mini mission for 3 weeks before going to the Manila MTC. They are both serving in Battambang and doing very well together.

Sister Chin is being trained by Sister Lim. Sister Lim (lam?) did a mini mission before going to the MTC Manila for one transfer, so she has the most experience. In their first week together in their assigned branch;, which I think is Teul Tom Pong, they had 10 people to church who hadn't gone in 6 years.  Since we received all these new missionaries and we could have more missionaries in some branches, our attendance at Sacrament meeting has gone up to almost 2500. We were only 14 away from that one week ago!  Maybe on the Sunday we leave, we will make our goal of 2500.  We are almost half way with our baptismal goal and our reactivation goal is going very well too!  Yeah for good missionaries!
